Destiny 2: A Guardians adventure
So on the 18/05/2017 Bungie held a gameplay reveal conference to talk about their future release called Destiny 2! We've had a small teaser trailer and a funny full trailer depicting Zavala's speech and Cayde's speech! Every Destiny gamer has been looking forward to finding out more about the future of Destiny.
The reveal has literally made me smile and brought me back to how I felt when Destiny was first released. Destiny was going to be the best game ever, it would have everything we wanted to do and I could play it alone or even better play it with all of my friends!! A game we could all play!!
"One year after the events of Rise Of Iron, the Tower is attacked by a cabal invasion. The Cabal Red Legion lead by Dominus Ghaul have come to take the light and steal the traveller for their own! Guardians are stripped of their powers forcing them to flee.
Scattered and powerless, the guardians must now acquire new powers to face Ghaul and his Red Legion and venture to new worlds in the Destiny universe."
Destiny was the first real co-operative game Ive owned and been able to play regularly with friends, more so after my friends switched from Xbox to PS4. Yeah, Ive played other competitive co-op games but none like Destiny where you are a guardian in this open world where you can go on missions to complete quests etc.
It is a first person shooter set in a world of warcraft type scifi world!!
The initial idea throughout the 10 year deal with activision was that your character will come with you, so far it has however, with Destiny 2 changing to just PS4, Xbox One and PC there are significant changes to the game and setup but your copy of your character will be coming with you!!!
However they have made the decision to leave Destiny 1 behind and leave everything back in the original game. Destiny 2 will still have the same avatars however all your powers,weapons and armor from Destiny 1 will be left in Destiny 1 and they've tied it into the story of Destiny 2!!
I like the idea behind the story being linked with moving the games to next gen consoles. I think the main conception of Destiny was going to evolve a little like World Of Warcraft. Expansion based but with the limitations of PS3 and Xbox 360 they have now had to focus on newer console technology to fully expand the worlds!!
Already had discussions with my bro's about the new characters and supers. Basically my new titan becomes a purple space Captain America! As discussed in the first guardians adventure, when me and my friends first started playing the game we mainly focused on one character and thats how ive done it up until recently but as I have to play as my other characters I have managed to level them up quickly using weapons I'd stockpiled in my vault and hitting strikes and crucible to win new equipment.
I was a Titan, Andrew a Hunter and Phil a Warlock. We are probably going to follow the same thing and I'll probably play with these guys or my team on day of release.
With Destiny 2, the traveller has been taken your light has been extinguished, we must find new powers to defeat the darkness and our enemies!
Titan: A new "Super" called Sentinel, which gives you a purple Captain America style shield which can be thrown at enemies and used to shield yourself and your team from oncoming fire.
Hunter: This new "Super" called ArcStrider, similar to bladedancer but it gives you a lightning infused staff with acrobatic looking attacks!! It covers you in lightning energy allowing you to fight and run at high speeds.
Warlock: Warlocks also get a new "Super" called Dawnblade, which covers you in fire and you fly through the sky and using a flaming sword which hits targets from long distances!!
There are new abilities aswell for characters, such as the warlock can now drop zones that either heal team members or boost damage on weapons, the titan allows you to create an artifical barrier to shield from enemy fire and apparently the hunter will get quick dodges that reload weapons quickly!
Here's one Guardian waiting for more news and more gameplay, maybe a live action trailer!! Waiting on E3 and the beta testing!!!
UPDATE
I am currently trying to complete more of the rise of Iron book and the Age of Triumph book in Destiny 1. Hitting crucible with my Hunter at the moment and will then do it with my warlock aswell. We are going to try the raids to get Andrew levelled up and I need to complete Wrath of the machine extras and all of the hard raids so will have to jump in and get some raids done!
Need to do trials at some point to complete the rest of the book...not looking forward to that one!!
Also my eagle eyes saw an interesting theory, the next expansion will be based on the creator of the trials Osiris! The egyptian style blades launched with the limited edition looks amazing and very Egyptian styleee! The second expansion could be a Warmind - based on Rasputin or another warmind we have not met!!
Bit odd too gameplay now suggests we will have more than 1 super!! :O!!! Saw a Titan gameplay that retains a modified fist of havoc!! basically same fist of havoc however instead of just the 1 attack it boosts your character who can now do charging lightning punches and multiple fist of havocs until your super runs out!!!
26/05 - Age of Triumph book is on 90% now!! So close to fully upgrading gunslinger subclass for my hunter!! Need to finish Rumble and Rift challenge - hoping to finish Rumble this week and hope Rift is available next week!!
Going to see if we can get 6 on to do wrath of the machine for Andrew, I also need to get some of the DIX on to help do 1 more Nightfall and the bells challenge for rise of iron!
08/06/2017 Got the trophy for the hunter sublcass, need to do the warlock subclass and the crucible missions for both!! To platinum the game I need the warlock subclass and to do a flawless raid - to do the rise of iron trophies need to do wrath of the machine on hard AND do the bells challenge - Age of Triumph book currently on 96% completion

13/06/2017 E3!! The Sony Conference revealed more footage from Destiny 2! We finally were introduced to Ghaul or as he will forever be known as...... Gary!!! Destiny 2 has also been set to release 6th of September, 2 days earlier AND beta will be available in July 18th for PS4 + 19th July for Xbox!!!
