Warhammer My Story Part 20 Feel My Warhammer!

Warhammer My Story Part 20 Feel My Warhammer!

April! Eater eggs! Ducklings! Bunny rabbits! Chocolate easter eggs! Mini eggs! Creme eggs and more!! The time of Spring and the coming of British summertime! I am DLLorenzo and welcome to my geeky little personal blog! So lots of things happening this month, lets jump in!!!

DLLorenzo Update

So those closest to me know that a lot has happened in the last 2 months as me and my girlfriend had begun the journey to purchase our own house! Now we found the one we really liked within 2 weeks, had to barter with the sellers to get it and when we had the offer accepted we were shocked!
Now comes the hard and stressful part of moving in and arranging everything!!

We officially got the keys the 16/04/2018 and stayed in the house from 17/04 and handed the landlord (my uncle) the keys on Saturday 21/04!

When people say moving and buying a house is one of the most stressful things to do, they are not wrong! All I want to do is sit down and relax in my new 1st floor lounge but I cant as I have things to do!!

The house is huge with 3-4 bedrooms over 3 storeys and a garage we have traded up from our 2 bedroom semi detached! Onwards and upwards!!

Warhammer Update!
For those interested, the Games Workshop store in Swansea is finally getting an update and becoming a Warhammer store!! They had a relaunch on the 21st April and if you went you could get the chance to win some amazing prizes and some store only launch models! There is a sweet Space marine chaplain!! (Hoping to make my way down launch day)

Update 23/04/2018 - Got down to the new Warhammer store on Swansea Kingsway and spent about £30, got my voucher for the exclusive store special Chaplain and while there I picked up the launch exclusive Terminator Captain, the new store founding dice and some Space Marine Datacards for games!
Now next thing to get is a Space marine helmet for the terminator captains head! Base paint my marines and get a game or two when I get the chance, might also attend one or two of the events in store to get points towards the chaplain.

The coming of the Idoneth Deepkin!!

So a few friends had mentioned to me that Fishmen may make an appearance and we got the seafaring, atlantean -esque Aelves! The Idoneth Deepkin!  They look amazing and will be interesting to see how they play over the coming months.....one rumor that has reached me is possible new Seraphon book and models coming soon!!

Warhammer Citadel Store and Cafe!

So the Warhammer Cafe, the first in the USA is opening later this year and its official name is the WarHammer Citadel! Good for the USA as there are so many players and followers over there and they deserve their own Warhammer World over there and they will be getting it!
The Citadel will be based in Grapevine, Texas!!!

 Anime and Manga

So wanted to say a little something about Anime and Manga! Recently got back into reading Manga and watching Anime which I used to watch and read for hours and hours everyday!! Now I am a HUUUUUGE Japan geek and love everything about Japan and especially love anime and manga, but in recent years I have had other priorities and have taken a step back from the amount I used to read and watch, which I think is a good thing.

For example I have the complete 20 volume collection of Bakuman! A brilliant manga series that follows 2 boys that try to create a popular manga at Shonen Jump comics!I basically read this and fell in love with the story as I wanted to draw more and be a graphic artist  and I followed this like an addiction for several years, where every Wednesday/Thursday I would check the Manga Reader website repeatedly for the latest chapter of the series....if it was there I was happy, if it wasn't I would curse seven hell's to the editors and translators...all for 15-20 pages every week!!

Highly recommend if you wanted to try manga, try Dragonball Z, Onepiece, Naruto, Bakuman, Bleach, Attack on Titan, My hero Academia and Airgear! Some of my personal favorites!

Funny story first ever anime I watched was Dragonball Z and Gundam Wing when it first came to the UK on Cartoon Network's Toonami! I did not directly notice the difference between Asian and western cartoons, I just knew that sort of animation was amazing did not realise that when I got into properly reading manga at about 19/20!
First actual manga I became aware of was LoveHina! We were stuck in a train in France and this man had this huge Tankobon (huge volume book) with the love hina name on the front and I will always remember seeing that there as we were stuck on the train for hours due to an accident! I eventually when I got older remembered and watched and read the entire series!

Little known fact, when Bleach, a hit anime and manga, came to the UK I started watching it and found it amazing, I also met one of my  friends Phil in the place I was working at the time, who while in the cafeteria in work was watching Bleach, while I was reading it! We ended up becoming really good friends! We'd talk about anime, games etc all of the time!!

 Batman News

  • So a rumour online that hit the internet the other day was that "The Batman" movie will be loosely based off the "Death of the Family" or "Under the red hood" stories or at least claiming that the film is expected to feature the death of Jason Todd, otherwise known as one of the Robins! Which made a lot of Bat Fans like me super happy as for the last two years since watching Batman Vs Superman I have stated they need to address what happened to Robin and a standalone The Batman movie would answer more questions and develop the Batfleck character more, especially if they do bring one of the best comic book stories to the big screen!! Since this rumour has been online it has also been noted as fake, however sometimes there is a thin line of truth in a rumour!http://comicbook.com/dc/2018/04/04/batman-solo-movie-jason-todd-ben-affleck/
  • Sometimes some stories of charity hit me in the feels and this story hit me hard recently as you still have the people who just dont like Ben Affleck or BatFleck to us Bat Fans! Zachary Levi tweeted out to Ben Affleck when he was made aware of a poor 11 year old boy who was terminally ill and wanted to talk with and or meet his hero Batman and Ben Affleck gave him a call and facetimed the little boy in hospital!! Good job BatFleck! #Batman4Mukuta and good job Shazam (Zachary Levi) http://people.com/movies/ben-affleck-and-batman-surprise-a-young-fan-in-hospice/

Ready Player One Short Review

So I finally finally got to go see Ready Player One on Wednesday 18/04 as me and claire were in town and I nagged her that we go see it!

Ready Player One comes from the mind of Ernest Cline and is directed by legendary director Steven Spielberg!
We are  shown a bleak world in Columbus, Ohio 2045, where millions of people live their lifes in the OASIS a completely digital online world where they work and live out their dreams and fantasies, Where in reality some people are living in caravan towers and others living in pristine buildings!
We are introduced to our hero Wade Watts, who in 2045 is one of millions trying to win a competition set by the reclusive genius James Halliday that whoever figures out his puzzles and gains the 3 keys will win access to the whole of the OASIS and his shares in his company that runs the OASIS!
The OASIS for him is a way out of his bleak and dreary existence and as his in game avatar Parzival he escapes into the OASIS to venture and live out his dreams and find the 3 keys with his friends and complete the challenges before the evil IOI corp and its director Nolan Sorrento get their hands on it!

4/5 from DLLorenzo, thoroughly enjoyed the easter egg filled, crazy, funny movie! Even my girlfriend liked it because of the plot and the characters!

SPOILER ALERT! The plot is different to the book's plot and potentially will open the Ready Player One world up for sequels or spin off's as it has been mentioned Spielberg and Cline were working together on a sequel novel/movie!

Marvels Avengers: Infinity War!

SO non spoiler reviews of Marvel’s Avengers Infinity War have started to drop online! Reviews seem favourable with most reviews about 3/4 out of 5 stars for the movie.
Marvel movie goers have been waiting for this to happen for 10 years! I remember seeing the first Marvel movie Iron Man back in 2008 and knew the superhero boom was going to be big! 19 movies including the new Avengers: Infinity War!
Most comments are that the movie is filled with lots of heroes, there are individual and group stories throughout the movie, it’s funny and filled with action and takes a surprising turn and negatives seem to be too many characters in one movie that maybe don’t get enough screen time and the movie is very long at 2h 30mins.
Probably go see the Movie Monday 30/04/2018 do my popcorn and Five Guys Special date night plan!

Movie News

Back to the Office!
Office is currently a mess, all my things are in boxes and its all being moved to the new office, in the new house!! New things incoming!!

Movies and Television shows I've watched rated:

Lost in Space TV series (Netflix): Watching..

Lost in Space (movie/Amazon):
With Earth's dwindling fossil fuels and planet coming to an end, Dr Robinson and his family are picked to journey across the space in the technological Jupiter 2 to find a planet that can be colonized for human life! 4/5 So I remember watching this movie back in 1998 either in the cinema or VHS from the local Blockbusters and also carrying around a scifi magazine that talked about the upcoming movie! The movie is cheesy, filled with action and is very dated (CGI wise) but I watched it the other night and really enjoyed watching it!

Mega Foods (Netflix): A documentary following some of the biggest restaurants, cruise ships, catering companies as they dish out some of the biggest orders of food around the globe! 4/5 from DLLorenzo, genuinely intriguing and was shocked at the sheer side of the Marine Bay Sands in Singapore, a hotel/shopping centre that had 43 restaurants!

Tokyo Ghoul (Netflix): Watching..

West World (TV): Watching..

The Job Lot (Netlfix): Tv series following the colorful staff of a job centre dealing with people looking for jobs and those who are not bothered! 3/5 from DLLorenzo, simple funny viewing and not too heavy that you must watch every episode, but some of the episodes are so simple and very funny.
